About Aapo Puhakka
Born in Jyväskylä, Finland in 2009, Aapo Puhakka is adetermined and creative badminton junior whose ambition knows no bounds. Competing for Jyväskylän Sulkapalloseura and the Finnish national team, and supported by Yonex Finland, Aapo combines athletic discipline with a passion for producing engaging content around the sport he loves.
On court, Aapo is known for his quick movement, fearless shot-making and an eagerness to learn. Off court, he shares his journey with a large global audience — from training in Bangkok and Nordic arenas, to taking on international junior events and producing trick-shot videos that inspire younger players.
Aapo’s achievements to date include junior tournament victories and titles on the European U17 circuit, as well as earning the Badminton Europe SOCIAL MEDIA Award in 2023 for his outstanding influence online.
His goal is clear: to reach the top of world badminton, win championships, represent Finland on the Olympic stage — and bring his followers, supporters and young players along the ride.
